Madrid based producer and DJ Merca Bae has been making artistic excursions for just over a decade as a producer and DJ. His production style can be described as versatile in nature, encapsulating many genres that form part of the hardcore continuum such as dubstep, grime & jungle; while also perfectly balancing genres that are more heavily influenced by rhythms in the Latin American / Caribbean circles of music crafting highly danceable tracks that manifest in a wide range of BPM’s, styles and genres. His artistry is only matched by his skills as a selector and DJ, which have garnered him much support globally & led him to tours in Europe, Asia, North and South America.
Merca has self released several EPs, compilations and mixtapes that placed him firmly on the map of the electronic music scene but his desire to continue experimenting with sound keeps growing at the same time as his capacity for creating high-octane club ammo & tracks for vastly diverse vocalists like Bad Gyal, Nathy Peluso, Six Sex or Isabella Lovestory.
Also, Merca Bae’s first live show, ‘2048’ was premiered in 2023 as an exclusive performance for Sónar Festival. This live show sets out a trajectory into Merca’s musical world in a live format for the first time. ’2048’, a number that holds special meaning due to how frequently it’s recurred over the course of his life, has come to function as the crux of what holds Merca’s music together & aptly captures the feeling of this show.
This great level of international recognition quickly led him to becoming one of the most valued producers and DJs on the Spanish scene.
